As I delve deeper into my research on the connection between texture and emotions, I find myself increasingly intrigued by the stark contrast between textures crafted by human hands and those that naturally occur in the world. Moreover, I've begun to realize that personal experiences and memories play a significant role in shaping my emotional response to the textures I encounter. This has triggered my curiosity, leading me to explore the realm of nostalgia and its profound impact on our perceptions. With each step I take into this fascinating subject, I uncover a heightened appreciation for the everyday objects that surround us. It's as if a veil has been lifted, revealing the purpose and significance behind each texture, thereby enhancing my awareness of the world around me.
Through the test shots I shot I reflected on some elements that caught my eye.

This texture stirred a whirlwind of emotions within me, as it triggered a potent wave of nostalgia from my childhood days spent at parks with my grandpa in Floriana, where I often encountered a similar ground material. As I gazed upon it, a bittersweet blend of warmth and sadness welled up within me, a poignant reminder that those cherished moments of the past cannot be reclaimed.

The texture described here triggers a sense of tension and anxiety within me. It reminds me of those moments when I'm driving, and I suddenly encounter unseen speed bumps instilling a fear of damaging my vehicle or facing consequences.

The texture in this setting evokes a sense of solitude and tranquility, while simultaneously evoking the essence of summer. The colour and texture resemble that of tropical foliage, immersing me into a serene island paradise, where the lush greenery and peaceful ambiance of a tropical summer prevail.
In general, paying attention to these different elements is making me want to keep working on and improving my idea, making it stronger. It's like a boost of energy that pushes me to make my creative idea even better.
